1. Age requirement
Minors under the age of 18 are not permitted to travel alone with Gethooptie. To use the service, one must be at least 18 years old and have an account. If a driver has reason to believe a passenger is underage, they may request verification of the passenger's age, and if they are found to be under 18 the driver will cancel the trip.
2. Weapons policy
Gethooptie enforces a strict policy against carrying weapons on any of its properties, this includes areas where it is legal to carry weapons. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all members of the community. It is difficult to predict how others may feel about the presence of weapons and it may cause distress and fear for personal safety for other community members.
3. No-smoking policy
Smoking inside Gethooptie vehicles is not allowed according to company policies. This is to consider the health of passengers who may have respiratory problems or be sensitive to the smell of smoke. To show respect to all members of the community, we request that passengers refrain from smoking inside Gethooptie cars.
4. Policy against sexual assault, misconduct, and harassment
At Gethooptie, we strive to provide a respectful and safe environment for all users of our platform. To achieve this, Gethooptie prohibits any form of sexual assault, misconduct or harassment, in accordance with the law. This includes physical or attempted physical conduct of a sexual nature without consent, as well as non-physical conduct such as verbal or staring of a sexual nature without consent or that has the effect of intimidating or threatening a user. This also includes actions such as making sexual advances, requesting sexual favors, making inappropriate comments about appearance or inquiring about someone's relationship status without consent.
Gethooptie strongly encourages the immediate reporting of any potential incidents of sexual assault, misconduct, or harassment. This policy is in place to discourage any behavior that is considered unwanted, unreasonable, and disrespectful. Even if the conduct in question does not meet the legal definition of assault or harassment, Gethooptie may still consider it a violation of this policy.
